Bit late this week as everything has been a bit too full on for me to do a set and also I was feeling a bit uninspired and felt I needed a break.. So Norman, who cut his teeth at the legendary Stammheim Club in Kassel, Germany sent over his set from the same party where I played a couple of months back.. There's no tracklist, just quality techno sounds, as ever, from Norman - you can find out more about Norman and his music here:

I've always been a fan of Norman. His sets or his production, I dont care which. both are ace in my books.

Norman "Bouncer EP" Relax 2013

One of my favourite oddball sound creators is back with another EP. It's primarily the title track on this one that moves my ankles, but 33% of an EP is enough for me.

Norman seems to have started popping up again lately. An EP, a track on a Various, this set plus a few other mentionings all point towards him making an emergence again for a little while. Must have spent some time in a retreat crafting his next bit of aural assault.

Miditonal as finally gotten around to putting together another one of their hyperactive tributes to dance-floor decimation. These 4 relatively simple tracks are like a dirty, tracky, modern version of what Dance mania was at one time: strictly a good time meant to move limbs. Done.

Aha! Grab this baby for sure, it's up there with his Koax release if you dug that. Cheers on 9volt for snaring Norman, it's been too long since he was given the wiggle room needed.

Norman "Afrobug EP" Relax 2002 01

user-pic

Norman is back, and taking his next step in the world of electronic music. Known previously for his Hoerspielmusik and Feinwerk releases, and his DJ sets at the legendary "Stammheim" Club in Kassel , here are his two new tracks for the brand new Sublabel of Snork Enterprises, Relax2000 Records, named after the new club in Giessen, which was formerly a tanning salon with the same name ;)

Booming 808 bass drums, and DX gongs provide the introduction to "Unsichtbare Zweitfrisur". The percussion builds, and then a reminder from the old days at Stammheim greets us! Klong, Donk, Bonk!

Le Bughead twists the metal further, with even more DX synth action, an old skool mid nineties flavour brought bang up to date.

Harry Axt rounds of things on the B side with an organic sounding remix injecting some warmth in to the ferrous sounds. Known for his work on Kiddaz and Grand Petrol, Axt takes the clangs of the original, liberally sprinkles some vocals and Chicago styled bump n' bounce which lead to a system reboot climax!

The alert readers out there will be all too familiar with my infatuation with Norman's material. For those of you who also love his style, you'll appreciate this release. It's a damn good release, that was heard entirely on Bleep Radio first! Ok, well not the remix, but the two Norman tracks were definitely in there. If you missed that particular Bleep show the first time around I highly recommend snapping it up and then doing the same with this EP.

Another Norman mix, this time from Q Club. I don't recall a Part 1 to this, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open for it.

Norman @ Electronic Madness

I was given a heads up by one of the fine folks behind Electronic Madness that they had a Norman set on their server. A good one it is too, lots of stuff that caught my ear in it that I'd never heard before which is a rare, but great experience.

Norman "First Continuous" Snork 10b

user-pic

I've really only just gotten the first EP in the 'First Continuous' series. I haven't even had a chance to play it yet I don't think. So with number two coming out I'm bound to start being swamped in records in which I've got no time to listen to. I can live with that sorry state of affairs though!

As normal with Norman and crew, first rate bounce, pop and jerk on this EP.

This was open to all for about 6+ months and I figured it would have gotten much more attention than it did, but don't think I'm complaining. We still have over 100 minutes of DM to enjoy from 8 different people. As things go I guess it worked out alright. People don't always have the time and all that jazz. Maybe, just maybe, I also over-estimated how many people really know about this label now. Is it unknown amongst the people starting off? I hope not.

Because of a new position at work my schedule will be in flux quite a bit for an unknown period of time. I will no longer be steady days and as such Bleep may not air via Live-Sets at 7pm EST, Thursday nights, as it usually does. Today is the first example of this. Instead of canceling the show for a while I'll just wing it as best as I can and when my schedule falls into something predictable I'll make the schedule request with the Live Sets crew. For those of you who simply grab the archive each week this probably will not affect you. I'll try to keep the show on Thursday for continuity reasons, but it may change.

Norman´s new appearance on Snork Enterprises is splitted into two parts, the Snork10A and Snork10B.
With the "First continuous e.p." he continues his cool sound on Snork Enterprises.
Snork10A is starting with two powerfull tracks from Norman and an additional remix from Tom Clark.
Norman brought you the great Feinwerk08 and Feinwerk14 in his steppin´ Kassel style. He was influenced a lot by the famous Stammheim Club, when he played there as resident DJ and he also released on the Hörspielmusik Label which was connected to the Stammheim Club
Side A starts with "Stars and Stribes" which will be one of the next summer techno hits. This catchy tunes great melody supported from a well working rhythm should push the crowd on all of the ucpoming festival events and becoming an earworm.
Also on side A, there is the additional production by Highgrade´s Tom Clark who brings a kind of dubby Berlin influence to this track. Watch out for the actually Highgrade Labeltour, if Tom or others are in your famous club!!!
Side B is Norman´s full playground for two floorstompers like people know from his other well known and remembered releases before. This is techno!!!

Bleep Radio 95: Norman

I'm very pleased to say that tonight's show is by Norman Müller[discogs]. That might not be a name you are familiar with, but if you were to leave it to me, his material would be force fed.

I first noticed Norman's stuff on Feinwerk and jumped all over it the very second the needle hit the groove. Very distinct, very fresh and very fun to play or listen to. The word on the street is that he also has a forthcoming ep on Don't records run by Jerome Hill. I'm stoked.
