Neil Landstrumm @ Prag

The last old Neil Landstrumm Dj mix went over pretty well. I had a few people request more if I had them. I most certainly do have them so I'll start uploading them whenever I have a chance. Like right now! This next set -- another Dj mix -- was recorded in Prag, apparently, back in 1999. I don't have any other info on it aside from the fact I have parts numbered one and two of four. Each one is an hour plus and is great. If anyone has the third and fourth part get in touch with me and I'll add them to the archive (bleep@isoprax.com).

I did have time to do a quick tracklist for Part one. It's incomplete of course but I did know most of it. I'll attempt the second Part later..

Carsten at Deejay tipped me off to this label. Minimal, chunky tech house with just enough twist to it to keep it actually interesting. Woof Woof.

The Subhead corner of the Internet has been updated since the last time i checked it out...Low and behold there are a ton of MP3 Downloads for you to check out.

Cristian Vogel's site No Future is in need of a make-over according to himself and server admins. No word yet on what exactly is going to be done to his great (real) techno portal but I'd be willing to bet it wont suck. Help the man out with a donation for software etc..

I just discovered that Feinwerk has an EP from Neil Landstrumm and Bill Youngman in the works. Hot on the heels from several Syntax Error Ep's as well as the most recent "Blood Money Ep" from Mark Hawkins Feinwerk six -- as we can probably guess -- is going to curl our toes.

I have no other information at this moment but I can tell you that if you happen to live in or around Gieen Germany you can attend the release party on the 21st of January at the AK44.

Keep in mind that all the Feinwerk backcatalog can also be purchased as MP3's via Sayas and Juno

I actually found these links over one year ago. I'd forgotten about them almost around the same time. They've made themselves known again though so here they are...

Quick hitlist of releases about to drop or just did drop...

I have next to no information about this. I've read one review and found one track name. The review makes me ache for it and the track name...well it's just a trackname. I wont stealy-stealy and swipe the review but I'll give you the basics.

Jerome Hill of Don't Recordings [ x ] mentions that the premise behind the new label headed by Jason Leach is Techno of the proper dancefloor ravey type.

Now I dont know about anyone else but when one of the Subhead boys gets the urge to make some mucked up danceable techno I get excited.

Jason Leach "?" Semi-detached 001
? "Bust Rucket"

ok, one track name isn't much. If you can find more...share it!

For the life of me I can't find anything else worth sharing at the moment. Well, nothing I'm allowed to mention yet anyway. So in the interim I've uploaded one of my favorite Neil Landstrumm Dj Sets for you to listen to...

What better way to impress your in-laws than to sport the latest in wonk wear. Cannibal Cooking Club [ x ] has done up a fresh batch of fan wear sporting their logo (as seen after the click).

I have always enjoyed seeing what other people buy and because of that I've always had an interest in charts...

I was digging around and found Jerome Hill had a few on his Don't Recordings site so here you go...

Just like the last Bleep not Bleep mix I posted this one was going to be an official Bleep Show but I've changed my mind. Not because I don't like it and not because it slurps pole. On the contrary, I like it a lot. The next Bleep Show that I need isn't for another month so this is a case of me breaking down and not being able to save it that long.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a complete Neil Landstrumm junky. Like Totally. So this has been a long ass time in the coming. The next Bleep Radio show will consist of a Spotlight on Neil Landstrumm.

I wanted to do it right so I asked Neil about it and got him to give the final ok on whether it airs or not. I've got my official "Green Light" and the Bleep Radio Neil Landstrumm Spotlight airs December 29th, 2005 @ 7pm EST. The archive will be available as well after it airs so if you can't catch it live there shouldn't be any worries.

Tonight's Bleep show on livesets.com was guest starring Syntax Error. He tossed us a 2 hour mix of smoothed down brighton funk. Check it out in the Bleep-Radio archives....

This is supposed to be Mark's Christmas mail-out mix. His site in the past has been quite molested as far as bandwidth is concerned. I've offered, in the past, to help out and share the load. It's finally been accepted so here we go a sneak peak at a minimal and tech-house mix clocking in at about 90 minutes.

He never mentioned anything about holding off on this until a later date so I only feel a little guilty. Make sure you at least check out his site: Crime Productions. Or heck even grab some of his frigging vinyl! The new one on Feinwerk is in line with his Mosquito Ep...deadly!

New Site Feature!

I don't know how great this is. I think it's pretty neat though.

I have a database of pretty much all my records now, lots of typing yes I know. Anyway, I wrote a little plugin script for the site so that the 10 most recent additions to the database are displayed in the sidebar. The title of the record is what is displayed and it is a link to it's discogs info page. So if anyone is actually interested they could see exactly what I'm buying. Don't expect much in the next month though I'm on a forced vinyl slow-down. It's that time of the year you know.

Here's a little 30 minute mix I ran across yesterday. Tobias Von Hofsten Vs Benn(?) from 2 years back I think.

Schallfreaks : First of all, i would like to intorduce you to our readers...so, tell me a little bit about who you are...

TSR: Back when we all were little midgets we had tea parties with teddybears and fluffy cuddly toys. Thats how we met Gary Coleman for the first time, he was the toy ehh...
Ivan: And you? Who are you eeh, come on. tell me? Ey, passa dig!

TSR Interview

Ok, technically this is filler. The only new releases I know of right now I'm not supposed to announce yet. So I figured I'd pimp some audio to make the day pass better for those of you stuck in quiet environments.

Syntax Error of Feinwerk-Techno has recently jumped feet first into the world of mp3 sales. He currently has his Feinwerk back stock available on www.sayas.de with Juno soon to come.

Sayas has two exclusive tracks as well so if you like his sounds...check them out!

When I began the second phase of this site, the news aspect of it. I figured I'd get a few people checking it out periodically. I think it started off as a way for myself to keep track of what was coming out etc...Apparently Fun in the Murky has kinda taken off. It's gone from a paltry 398 unique visits it's opening month to a new record for the month of November- a whopping 2209 unique visits!

I guess I've picked up a fair amount of regular readers (!?) along the way some how. I never would have guessed enough people had an interest in this sort of thing but I guess once again my cynicism got in the way of seeing. I don't mind passing along any information I find to keep this thing going but i'm going to ask anyone who does read to help out now and then. If you know of a release, an artist's set or some other Wonky Techno related bit of interest let me know. The more news the better!

Also, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas never be afraid of sending them my way. If there is a site addition you'd like to see, some small change you think would make it better or anything of that nature don't hesitate. Send me an email and let me know.

Trackheadz Sale

One of the record stores that I've personally found to be of use is Trackheadz in London. Trackheadz is moving location at the end of January and just like the rest of us they're lazy duffs! They don't want to move their whole stock over, too much back breaking work and all that. So they're having a Chrimbo sale (x-mas). 40% off of all back catalog, cds and clothing. Hit em up and you'll find some wonky goodies no doubt.

Trackheadz

The sale ends Christmas Eve so use this week's cheque and not next week's.

Framework Music, as run by Bob Brown for the last 18 catalog numbers is no more. Bob has announced that he no longer wishes to maintain the business and has opted out.

The Scatty-Brainz label posse, who I believe is also behind Feinwerk (I'll dig into that one) has their next EP releasing in 2006. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume early 2006 (again I'll dig into this to make sure).

UPDATE:
Someone else beat me to the digging. Scatty-Brainz is run by Der Totmacher and Jens Bremeier

Thank Christian from Feinwerk for the info!

The ever so quirky Ed Giles, A.K.A. 3d1t, preformed for the Bass Invaders crew last month. This is not a set to listen to on your FutureShop home PC speakers. They wont be able to handle it. Seriously, it'll vibrate your change off the desk. Oddball, wonky ass samples spread evenly between the amusing and old rock work great as the interludes between some of the tracks. Ed's love of Curry is explained as well.

Also, take note. This is the first public announcement -- if you can really call it that -- but Ed has been comissioned to create an Intro and an Outro for Bleep Radio. Nothing has been fished yet but soon all the shows will have some custom super elite 3d audio intertwined within their very fabric. You've been warned!

Download 3d1t Live @ Bass Invaders

As with the TSR set, this comes from the Bass Invaders website so even though I'm hosting it myself now to prevent their server being molested you should really check them out. More audio and lots of great parties planned.

I just got the heads up from Carl that his next EP will drop soon on Advanced Records. It's a three tracker with variety enough to quench anyone's tech appetite...

This mix was originally intended to be a Bleep show. It's not now. Guests have priority and guests are popping up out of the woodwork.

Every so often the internet becomes something more than an immediate music fix, a quick download, or brief eye candy. Sometimes a person puts a lot of work and effort into a site's content. Not some flashy page trying to sell ketchup popsicles but a page with content that is actually and truly only available in that one spot.

The Antikonsum folks have once again out-done themselves. And quickly to boot! I've had Antikonsum 002 in my possession all of 1 week and the 3rd EP on the label has been announced already. With MasCon, Dibu-Z, Lo-Max and Steph supplying four tracks of wonky funk and bump it's another win.

Guest mix on Bleep

Bleep Radio / Fun in the Murky had a guest hailing all the way from Dublin this week. Philip Ryan x mixed us up a top-notch Detroit Techno set that I foresee being downloaded extensively in the next few weeks.

TSR, otherwise known as the Transexual Swiss Rebels recently made an appearance at a Bass Invaders Party. I'm sure much fun was had by the cross-dressing goofballs and all the party-goers that were in attendance. I had some pictures of the night to share, to prove it was off the hook, but I can't seem to find them now. So for the time being you'll have to be satisfied with this EXCELLENT live set.

While you're listening to this aural assualt check out the Bass Invader website for live sets by other artists, from previous parties.
