Rotorik / TET ...stuff!

August 16, 2006

I got this a few days ago...Instead of typing out the mammoth amount of info I'll quote...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TET
1) Free MP3s are usually a "thanks to the fans", so as a big thanks to everybody who supported TET - Travailleur En Trance in their mission so far, two free full-length MP3s have been uploaded to TET-ZENTRUM!
Get to the "audio" section now and download:
- "The Vortex" - an unreleased track from "Ultima Ratio Intervention" recording sessions
- "Sector Champion" - a vinyl only track from sold-out Acido 002 EP, performed by "rotorik vs. TET"

2) Yet another TET interview is online. It was recently conducted by Germany's Godfather of Goth, Ecki Stieg, for his site Grenzwellen.com. Risking his neck as usual, CS even ventures into criticising other "current EBM" bands even more harshly than usual - this certainly provides for excellent gossip stuff... ;-) More interviews can be found in the "reaction" section of TET-ZENTRUM.

3) TET's famous debut CD "Ultima Ratio Intervention" has also been licensed to Grenzwellen.com for MP3 distribution. This way you can get the whole album or separate tracks.
Of course you can also still order some remaining copies of the album uncompressed from manoeuvre records!

4) You are already well-informed you about TET's very special show at Front 242's 25-year-celebration in March, and watched the video available for free download at least a dozen times. But you probably didn't know that another EBM legend was present incognito among the audience: Tommi Stumpff! Insiders are aware of the fact that he (and not DAF) was always the most daring EBM act from Düsseldorf. And just like the Belgian hosts he actually came to see perform, he was convinced by the style and power of TET! Stumpff- who recorded his first releases with legendary Conny Plank back in 1982 - was so excited he even took the time to write a little review. You can now find it in the "reaction" section of TET-ZENTRUM! The enthusiasm is definitely quite remarkable for a grumpy old cynic like him... ;-)

Rotorik

1) Incredible: The new rotorik release "rotorik live at the rotodrôme" on Acido 004 is finally available!
Go grab it at your local shop though distribution by Possible Music Berlin or Hardwax!

About this release:
"rotorik live at the rotodrôme" might surprise those who've been following the work of rotorik since his debut release in the year 2000, but perhaps never managed to catch him on one of his live shows. While the studio releases were usually produced in a rather complex way, CS went much more raw and minimal when playing live. Using his own unique virtual modular instruments, rotorik was able to adapt to any crowd and venue. The result were always quite different sets, depending on if he played in techno temples such as Stammheim or Neue Heimat or in more laptop electronica oriented places such as the Golden Pudel Klub or WMF.
This release holds a selection of recordings made in rotorik's studio "the rotodrôme", specificly made to show the wide range of styles possible. While tracks like "Danger Phreak", "Traekker II" and "Renovator" remotely demonstrate what you would expect from rotorik (approximately hard, abstract weird techno), "Global Positioning", "Drohor" and "Index Funk" are samples of fine, mesmerizing electronica stuff. And the beatless "Verschollen in der Unendlichkeit" proves rotorik can even make you float away into space!

2) rotorik's debut 12" "Votum EP" (recorded & released as "rotor" on Hidden Rooms/Otaku in 2001) - which like most older releases has long been sold out - has been licensed for MP3 distribution and is now available at iTunes (needs iTunes installed) or Beatport (needs Flash). Take this chance to check out to the very beginnings of rotorik!
