I'm pretty sure Paul has snow down in his neck of the woods already. Which would explain why he had the time to pass along an email with information for the next three Tonewrecker releases. It was either that or risk frostbite on the heiny.

Paul Birken "Junk Profanity" Tonewrecker 12
A1 Fender Bender [ listen ]
A2 A Depiction of Eviction [ listen ]
B1 Floor Wax [ listen ]
B2 Camp Spooky

The title of this EP could change a bit, but the catalog number wont so keep an eye to the sky for this as it should drop by Christmas from Veto Distribution.

Tonewrecker 13 needs a bit of an intro as it's not your regular EP..

Rather than the typical remix project where the original samples are
provided to the remixer, I thought I'd leave it open for interpretaion.
The only rules for the track were to incorporate the following phrase in
any way the artist saw fit.

IM IN THE POCKET
GOT MY GAME IN CHECK
MACHINES LOCKED DOWN
AND A SYSTEM TO WRECK

Artists involved are Miro Pajik, TJR, Cannibal Cooking Club, and myself [Paul Birken].
Look for a w - i - d - e range of styles on this one to cover all corners
of the "techno" map.

Sounds like a killer idea if you ask me. Even if you don't ask me I'm still going to insist it's a killer idea.

Tonewrecker 14 - Yes! We're waaaaaay into the future now so I'm sure little details might not be accurate, but I'll share it anyway even if it's just to compare notes to when it does happen.

TW14 Lief Ryan vs. Paul Birken
This is going to be a joint project between Growth and Tonewrecker and
we'll be looking to get the releases to drop on both labels simultaneously
if possible through our good friends @ Veto distribution. Tonewrecker will
probably take the heavy beasts and Growth will take the wonkfest outbreak.

Again, Paul has followed his nose (ear) and found the Fruit Loops (good music). Lief has some great stuff out and his tracks lately have been non-stop bass funk, glitch madness. Love it!

To wrap up this lengthy (actual) news post I'll point out that paul played in Brooklyn last week and it turns out someone there had a camcorder (or other equivalent gadget) and has posted the resulting footage to Youtube!
