I don't even quite know what to say about this Bleep. It's fantastic, that's for sure. Phlokker [aka quick and smart] definitely doesn't bore anyone. The sheer number of bits and samples tucked into this 66 minutes is enough to give someone with attention deficit disorder the screaming heebie jeebies.

THIS is what a "Techno" set should sound like.

I stumbled across this goodie a few days ago, but have only had a chance to check it out now. it's awesome. Some proper Electro and pilfered samples. It's just the sort of fun that more people need to have on a regular basis.

Sure as a Rooster in a Hen-house, Mike has another mix for us! The 2nd last track is one of my all-time top tracks. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it still.

It's been a fair amount of time since the last EWC record came out. An equally and shamefully long time since the last Smooky record came out.

I'm willing to forgive and forget if the EP sounds as good as I think it does. The sound samples I have aren't too long, but at least two of the tracks I'm willing to say rock. B1 epscially. it sounds like veritable Atomic Dog, Funkadelic, Waa-Waa-Waa-Wham. The kind of Bass Funk that lifts skirts on it's own.

I think it's about time another recorded Quick and Smart set was shared, don't you?

Ok, the timing on this share isn't totally innocent. This Thursday's Bleep Radio show features Phlokker as the guest. Phlokker is Volker Wiegand who as you should know is also Quick and Smart. So get ready for the goods!

The few episodes of Bleep ago I had a guest who goes by the name of Vadz. Now Vadz has referred some other like-minded Russian fellas to me and they've given me a live recording of themselves.

I found it to be very good and definitely worth sharing.

Bunker has never been a label I paid much attention too. I listen to their releases from time to time, but on a whole I'm not too eager to grab em. Lately I've been diggin' the new output though. Not sure if anything has changed, if so it's probably just myself.

I have no clue who Z-Bomb is, but I can tell you they cooked up some retro, Drop-Bass style electro corkers!

I've got several more guest mixes lined up, but they aren't in yet. Bleep must go on though so I concocted a mix of stuff from my bag right now.

Another older Michael Forshaw repress, I haven't see this one available for pre-order anywhere yet so I'm guessing it'll be ready closer to the end of June. According to Michael's Myspace page there are going to be Chan'n'Mike represses dropping every 2nd month or so. Awesome. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the one I lack...Tea Time!

Michael Forshaw has been a busy man behind the scenes. He must be have quit a vice recently and working is taking it's spot...

Regardless of the reason why, it's great to hear that a "My Breathing" label release is being repressed on C'n'M's!

Awesome.

I think we all know that Paul Birken's "Surfin Superior" LP from way back on Communique goes for retarded prices on Ebay. I've always just sort of assumed I would never have the track on it that I REALLLY, REALLY wanted. "Numbskull" defines my early days partying and it's a track that still kicks a(ss)cid.

Licensed by a French label and repressed just recently. Excuse me while I kiss the sky.

It's not everyday I get to cross a song off my want-list that's been there for 10 years. I need to figure out some way to celebrate now!

To tell the truth I'm most definitely not fond of either of the remixes of this track. The only reason I am mentioning it is because the original artist's (Kink) mix is good stuff. The Odori pressing of it seems to be hard to come by these days, but this one is just about as awesome as the original anyway.

I did have high hopes for the David Duriez mix. He's pleased me in the past, but it looks like I'll have to await his next release for similar pleasures.

I can't find much info on this, but I do know it's a fantastic Acid house record. It sounds like it was plucked directly from mind of an aging ex warehouse partier.

Up until just recently the whole Acid comeback has left me wanting. Finally there are some records coming out keeping the old in mind while creating the new.

Mike Holmes has been on a roll lately. Within the last month or so he's dropped out two or three great mixes. I got tired of having to grab them all via a free file host so I've gone and set Mike up with a FitM server to host his stuff on. Let's see if it affects his seemingly already prolific nature.

I never seem to have harder Techno or Electro sets recorded. I really need to get on top of this.

With that said though, there is a bit of stuff that could go either way in here. I couldn't go nuts as it was at a small Cafe where the focus is more on listenable than anything else.

Right off the bat I'm going to hush you cynics who believe this is a tit for tat. Gerald Moore really does have something started worth checking out over at his new site.

Bleep 59 is a "re-live". Cynthia Stern of Input-Output Inc. hosted a party in Sweden not long ago entitled "Mockba". The audio from Mockba was all recorded and Cynthia passed it to me for use as a Bleep. There were a total of 5 sets in all: Cynthia Stern, Towlie, Disko 3000, Tobias Schmidt and a final closing tag-team set by Cynthia Stern and Towlie. Only the live-sets performed by Disko 3000 and Tobias Schmidt were used for the aired version of Bleep 59. However, all of the audio from Mockba is being made available with the archives.

Passed to me by Mr. Markutz, this mix has a wobbletastic period in it's innards.

Queaver & Versis Live @ Rohtabak Doebeln Germany Part 1
Part 1 [09:51] | Part 2 [10:00]

The duo's track on Kugelbox05 "Crash Course #04" was pretty damn good. Next up...????

It's the last day of the weekend and I've got a BBQ to start.

I've got nothing big to share, but I do have a bunch of little nuggets to pass on in the form of news and audio.

While this isn't the newest record out there in terms of both release date and sound style. It's still a gem in my eye. Mantra is also the same guy behind the Acid Phreex EP on Djax about 2 years ago. He's one of the few people who seem to really enjoy this old sound enough to continue on with it.

As long as he keeps making the records, I'll keep buying them!

Just recently Mustard Gunn and Spewis were fortunate enough to play for one of the Maltese crews. I haven't got any word back just yet regarding whether or not their sets (or any from the night) were recorded so today will either be a light content day with just the youtube clips or it'll end up containing links to sets.

Bleep 58: Vadz

I was first made aware of Vadz through Mark Hawkins. Mark had played in Taganrog, Russia alongside Vadz and ended up giving me the night's audio so I could hear how well it all went.

Right away I offered a spot on Bleep to Vadz, he seemed to play a great range of both new and old across the great genre divide that too many seem to shy from. Little did I know at that time...he also has some killer Electro, Techno and Acid tracks of his own...Tracks that he used for Bleep 58!

Grab a listen and I know you'll fully enjoy the mix.

I've not heard of Blackmass Plastics before, but some digging shows that they've been around for nearly a decade. After hearing these three tracks (and loving two of them) I'll have to do some snooping and see if I can find a few older release to check out too.

Anyone know of them and have a recommendation? Tis good stuff!

Mike Holmes was recently a Bleep Radio guest and now he's got another mix cooked up for us.

Korvaboosti took place this weekend just past. I don't know how often Finland gets to rock out like they must have, but I bet it's not often enough.

I've got three of the sets from the party TSR's live-set, and stak and naks dj sets. If you're faint of heart, step away.

Because I'm a complete moron I recorded this mix while suffering through a nagging headache. Loud music is not what I should have put myself through, but it sure as hell beats sleeping it off. Originally it was about 2 hours long, but I snipped it down to CD size and left off on a local boy's track.

From Art of Noise to distorted funk loops, highwire circus fun, deep glitchy electro and jackin bleeps it's all covered. Even the minimal bloopy crowd gets represented here. Because an hour of any one thing is boring.

Enjoy!

I've got all this space and bandwidth and can't seem to use it up! In the spirit of spreading the love around and sharing what I've got I've set up an image gallery that allows member registration.

If you're a FitM regular and have some party pictures (or whatever!) you'd like to place online, feel free to go nuts. Sign up and create your own album(s). I've not put any limits on it, so if everyone plays nice and this isn't abused then it'll stay for all. If someone acts like an ass though I'll disable registrations and bring out the paddle to redden some back-side. I know it wont come to that though...right guys and gals!?

I haven't really played too much with this Galery software, but if you have a question I may still be able to help you so feel free (as always) to get in touch with any concerns.

Gassoline, the label on which most of the Wee Djs material has been released on in the past has now gone digital. For those of you who aren't lucky enough to have the vinyl, now you have the option of grabbing a remastered mp3 for on the cheap. Best to play them loud!

It's getting to the point where there's a healthy number of GOOD labels and artists with Digi downloads available. So I don't want to see you mp3/cd jocks playing such crap anymore (neener neener NEENER).

Todd Sines has recently put together a new .XTrak live set. The word on the street is that this was played at Smart Bar in Chicago for Traxx's birthday. Whether that's true or not matters not a whit. What does matter is how much bumpfunk and bleep it has. Approximately a lot.

I asked tafkatafta if he'd like to put together a show for Bleep. I didn't really know what to expect, but I knew it'd be good. As far as I'm concerned Alex can do no wrong.

The show he gave me is not mixed. Alex doesn't DJ. It's also not a Live-set, but it is a smattering of released and un-released tracks of his some played out and some just faded into the next. He also 'interviewed' Bill Youngman in a Berlin park for the show (very serious topics!) and played an older track of Bill's that has never been released.

I personally feel this is one of the best Bleep's to date. Maybe I have more of an emotional attachment than any of you would have, regardless the effort Alex put into this is appreciated to the utmost and I hope someone hears his stuff who ordinarily wouldn't have.

I'd never heard of Panic Bridge until #2 was posted up on No-Future a day ago. After an only sample size taste of each track I knew I was onto something new and fun so I dug around and found Panic Bridge #1 samples. They were equally as non-bog-standard so I'm going to have to buy and recommend both!

Here's Luke's newest Dj Mix. It's a monster. You've been warned.
