So what I have here is a small pack of samples. Loops, Hits, Blips, Rip-Snorts and Stabs. They all come courtesy of Paul Birken. Some of you may have heard of him.
Semiotic's 'Murkyotic' added
Jerome Hill's 'Murky Ditty' added
Grinch's 'Grinch Remix' added
2 versions by Martin Becker(AKA Buffer Overload) added
Oliver Rosemann's added
A.I.P. added
TSR/Robert Sundelin Added
What I'm thinking here is this: Why not have a friendly remix contest!? It's been a while since the last one. I think it's time to re-do it up.
Let's take a different approach to it though. Instead of the one sample pack that Paul has taken the time to make up, why not a bunch of people add sample packs to the pile so everyone can pick and choose from a wider palette of sounds?
I think it's a good idea.
Nothing serious. Some of you are infinitely better at this sort of thing than others. Let's all take a crack at it and share the results. Do you have anything better to do? (I don't).
I wont set an end date or create any guidelines. We'll keep it informal. If at some point prizes are due because something turns out absolutely awesome. Well then that's where the Fun in the Murky T-Shirts are going to come in handy eh ;)
This is the run down so far. Paul Birken cooked up and sent me a Sample pack to share with anyone and everyone who stumbles across Fun in the Murky. Instead of just putting it out there for people to download and forget about I thought "why not get more sample packs and make a big whoop dee doo out of it all".

Tracks So Far:
Feel free to download any and all sample packs. If you feel like you can add something, feel free to make your own sample pack. I'll include it in the list without hesitation. Ideally anyone who finishes some sort of track/song/series of blips should send it in for everyone to hear, but if you're too shy that's no problem. Contribute by commenting on other's tracks.
At the moment I still need to re-configure my uploader script that would allow people to upload tracks and sample packs without my help. So until I get it done (this weekend) just send me an email asking for FTP info or even attach the files to the email. I have no size limit so anything should make it through to me..
