I'm closing up shop somewhat here at Fun in the Murky. Well - more of a tactical shift.

It's become apparent over the last couple months that I'm no longer able to keep it going at it's former pace. I keep assuming that any day now things will turn around and I'll have more free time, or I'll suddenly discover the magical ability to do more in a day. It's time to admit that neither of those things are going to happen.

This decision was not an easy one to make despite the fact that ultimately it will probably not change too much. The decision was prompted by more than just what may be obvious though. And as I'm a fan, or proponent, of being transparent and open, I'll go into them a bit.

This week's Bleep is a live recording of Andrez Bergen working his mojo at TTAK in Tokyo. It's full of his own 'IF?' stuff of course, but also heavy on other FitM appreciated goodies like Bonus Round and Slidebar. I can't think of a better way to make editing SOP's at work more enjoyable, the to turn this sucker on.

Apparently it's been a long, long while since Swervet has mixed something for public consumption. I stopped paying too much attention to the passing of time as I find I missed large chunks of it at the best of times anyway.

I haven't actually had a chance to listen to it yet, but damn is the track-list looking mighty superb. I'm sure it'll get the home test later today before I head into the labour camps.

Apparently I went on a late 90's expedition this week. Nothing too unusual there I guess. I have that habit, don't I?

I had a show of my own all lined up, up-loaded and ready to go, but then Heiner AKA Psychomantix got in touch. No question about it, once I saw the track-list I knew this live recording needed to be Bleeped out.

The 20th Podcast from Edmx is now up. It's a self promotion episode as he has a party coming up. That means it contains only Ed's own tracks. Naturally that does not affect the quality at all. Same great 'cast!

Another various artist EP on Axel Sohns' Slidebar label. Always welcome, always up my alley, especially with this many of my favourite oddballs all on the same release!

Homing in on what I planned for. A mix-up, mash-up of this and that. Or as close to it as I seem capable these days. I'll have to content myself with shows of this nature and/or caliber. That's not to say it's bad. Because it's not. I actually enjoy this mix. It's got upwards of 15 years of spread release date wise and sits across several genre borders and schools of thought; quite coherently I think.

Dj Shadow's new material arrived in a whirlwind of hype with free downloads being available for 24 hours, when the dust settled after all the commotion, this amazing Neil Landstrumm remix appeared without much fuss.

I recommend checking the remix out of course...

Since I uploaded 'Warble Tone' to Soundcloud I've had a steady influx of requests for copies, so I decided to give it away along with some other goodies as a free EP...

Can't argue with that good sense, can we?

Aside from the month being mostly devoid of new releases, it still turned out pretty swell.
