Apparently it was ripped from cassette by the person behind the Sun Bathing Lizard blog. So because it was ripped from tape which was recorded from the radio don't expect super duper quality on this one. I bumped it up to stereo from the original mono which helps a bit, but you're still going to have to appreciate it for nostalgia's sake.

Check the set for things by Gene Farris on Relief, Cari Lekebusch on Trainspotter's Night and count off your disco dance steps to Tobias Von Hofsten.

Marcin Czubala "Fuck Loops 2" Mutter Tontrager 18

Originally released in 2002 this is something that's been around a while already. Deejay seems to have dug up some copies though and since FitM wasn't around yet in 2002 to post it, I figured I'd add it now to increase the breadth of the archives. I'll probably be doing more of that soon. I'll pick some of the more well known artists and labels and just start adding it all in.

This EP from Marcin is probably one of the last he did in this style. I think most, if not all of you, know that he's been doing more minimal styled stuff lately on Mobilee and remixes all over the place. I haven't found any of that stuff that I've been able to get into, but Marcin's earlier catalog was all good in my books.

Bleep 127: Trevor Wilkes

Bleep 127 is the result of another dig. I've run out of room on my shelves so I had to 'archive' some vinyl. In the process of putting some stuff away for an undetermined amount of time I came across some stuff I wanted to play. Naturally. It's very hard to dig through and not want to jam immediately afterwords.

Next week Bleep 128 is a broken beat treat. from Si Begg to Sueme, The Dexorcist to the ridiculous.

Shinra "1986" Wide Records MP3 15

London's leading low-end acid engineer cranks up the bass and tweaks the bleeps on his stunning 6 track debut EP for WIDE Records. Fusing old skool electro, breaks, jungle and dubstep, this is Shinra's hotly tipped follow up to his appearance on the "WIDE Records Presents..." compilation and subsequent remixes for DJ Cutlass Supreme & Paul Blackford. The EP is accompanied by the Pain Struck Stanley Dumb remix, played by Dave Clarke on his White Noise radio show, and the
inspired "Space Journey" remix by the almighty Vadz from Russia.

There's no need for me to ramble, the official write up covers it well enough. You got your old school Electro and your Acid blips all fused together like it was meant to be like that. Great stuff.

Axel Sohns "Epic Madness" Kitty Corner Records 06

Axel doesn't release much, but when the odd track pops out of him it's a good one. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever heard an EP with Paul Birken and Dj Ze Mig L tracks and not had them be my favorites. That's not to to say they're bad, because they're not. Axel has just out done himself is all. I look forward to being able to play and listen to this whole thing when it finally comes out.

Bleep Radio 126: Cain

Bleep Radio is only an Archive download this week. no live stream. I know it's not a huge number of you that tune it for the Live Broadcast, but my job takes precedence and tonight I have to go in early.

Cain was a guest way back in August of 2006. Ever since then he's had the offer of doing another show, but it wasn't until just this month he was finally able to tear himself away from his busy life in Malta to record something new. For the last few years now Malta's Techno scene has been eating up the skew-whiff Techno like an unhealthy addiction and Cain --amongst others-- has been doing his best to help further that into something even more.

Orlando Voorn / Lodig "The Split" Minimal Soul 02

Veto says:
Austrian label Minimal Soul team up with fellow Austrians Pomelo to follow up their successful first release 'School of riddim'...For Minimal Soul, electronic music legend Orlando Voorn contributes an absolute corker of a track, he takes himself back to his electro/techno roots and comes up with 'Slam' - undoubtedly his strongest track for some time. Black Dog doesn't disappoint either, his remix is a study in restraint, and its simple relaxed melody lifts the track into classic territory. On the 'Pomelo side' relative newcomer Lodig obviously has his work cut out, but doesn't let the credentials of the producers that have gone before put him off his stroke! He comes up with a slightly more gnarly techno cut, not exactly heavy, but with that extra bit of dirt that is very satisfying after the clean cut techno funk of the previous two cuts. He then slips into his slightly better known guise of Lok44 to round off the EP nicely with a warm and bleepy minimal techno roller of a remix. Great EP all round!

I say it's a damn fine EP as well, but primarily for the tracks that bookend it. A1 and B2 are what steal the show with their raw appeal. B2 gets special note from me. it's going to be one of those songs that sneaks under the radar of most, but it's rhythmic perfection is undeniable!

Murky Stats: August 2008

The end of another Summer here doesn't really mark any momentous FitM occasion. There may be an increase in content soon, but that's only because as the weather gets colder, I'll be going outside less.

Plans for the (near) future here include Bleep Radio episodes featuring Leon Segka (October), Cain (this week) as well as a new Electro show, a Luke's Anger spotlight, and some guest mixes from listeners who are able to slap em together as well.

For those of you who're in the London area you may (or may not!) be glad to hear I'll be in your neck of the woods in October. I'll be on Holiday with my wife, but on my final night in the city I'll be hooking up with Mustard Gunn at one of his Coin Operated parties.

Trevor Wilkes is over from Canada [...] so we thought we would throw a huge rave!!!! Feat coin op & ugly djz, Micheal Forshaw, 3D!t, Jerome Hill, Blackmass Plastics, Warlock, JE5, spaceface and more. [October 18th]

Wile definitely not a new release it is one that I don't have and am picking up.
