Another various artist EP on Axel Sohns' Slidebar label. Always welcome, always up my alley, especially with this many of my favourite oddballs all on the same release!

Dj Shadow's new material arrived in a whirlwind of hype with free downloads being available for 24 hours, when the dust settled after all the commotion, this amazing Neil Landstrumm remix appeared without much fuss.

I recommend checking the remix out of course...

Def Surrounds Us - Landstrumm remix

Since I uploaded 'Warble Tone' to Soundcloud I've had a steady influx of requests for copies, so I decided to give it away along with some other goodies as a free EP...

Can't argue with that good sense, can we?

A great EP as brought to my attention via the comment section. Cheers Zaletny!

This sucker is full of wee-woo. The sort we don't hear enough of these days. The Resident Advisor post about the EP mentions that a second EP is due out the end of 2010. I can't wait to hear it!

I owe this EP a high five. The Yolanda Be Cool tracks led me to an EP that rocks. Yolanda Is Cool.

Kooky, kinky, slightly off-kilter 'Die Muntere Monika' leads the charge on this EP, with a rather Donk Boy(ish) chunky bleeper ('Verschoben') sitting pretty as well. This Felix fellow has been catching my ear with better than half of his releases lately. Maybe there's hope for him. Maybe he'll continue the trend. Maybe he won't let his future made music bore me.

maybe he'll just make stuff for himself, that I happen to like.

That sounds more likely.

Following on from FAT HOP 001, B-boy rave for the ageing hipster - Part 2 takes over and continues the tradition.. Heavy B-boy Funk breaks rule the roost, peppered with the dopest samples and a healthy wedge of classic old skool rave synths..

I was almost sure this was going to be my first Phil Kieran EP, but something made me dig a bit. Now I know what what was nagging at my sub-conscious. Only 8 years have passed. I think I prefer his Electro from back then, but then 'Pure Tension' on this EP sits pretty darn well too.

With the re-release of Minimal Nation and now this EP I'm going to go out on a limb and get just a little stoked. Stoked for the return of Hood as I found and subsequently left him. The last several years he has not been on the bleepy tip I know and love him for. However, it would seem like he's at least veered off into that territory again, if not steering straight in. Here's to hoping anyway...

Here`s your chance to grab an excellent Disco inspired bit of House goodness. It`s first time pressed since `96 or so, I didn`t think it would be something I would ever get a fresh pressing of. Once I realized what it was looking me in the face I was very surprised. It`s not a record I`ve even thought of in at least 5 years as I think it`s been even longer since I heard it out.
