Another SFS Podcast from Vadz is now available. I`ve never heard a Vadz set that was a let down, this one holds with expectations!

Dj Rush was always one of the artists that was really inspiring me when I first started trying to write my own music. Off-kilter, wacky, way out, with a big (6′6″) Stage presence, he could even be considered as the Godfather of so-called "wonky techno". For me, back around 1997, that was the appeal for me, trax that were so swung and out there that it almost sounded like the record was out of time with itself, particularly displayed in this mix with track 33 "You'll Catch On" taken from his 1999 release on Djax-Up-Beats which was aptly named "Swingin' the drums"- Yes, it's not one of my bum mixes, the track is SUPPOSED to sound like that!

This week's Signals From Southwark comes from former Tresor Headquarters DJ Mack. A major lynchpin of the underbelly of Berlin techno, he was the booker at the world famous Tresor club for numerous years...more
To be honest, I've never heard of Mack. But about half of the tracklist sparkles with that glittery glammer that just grabs me.
Mark is back from his short-lived break away from podcastin'. Number 23 is a preparatory mix for an upcoming gig he has and covers quite a bit of ground. One of those random connections mixes that are always fun to listen to for the surprises!
Bit late this week as everything has been a bit too full on for me to do a set and also I was feeling a bit uninspired and felt I needed a break.. So Norman, who cut his teeth at the legendary Stammheim Club in Kassel, Germany sent over his set from the same party where I played a couple of months back.. There's no tracklist, just quality techno sounds, as ever, from Norman - you can find out more about Norman and his music here:
I've always been a fan of Norman. His sets or his production, I dont care which. both are ace in my books.
My records are in a mess right now- so many mixes and a few gigs thrown in for good measure, and they are all over the place.. My Noodles, Subhead and Djax records are amazingly in order, no suprise given the previous mixes, but it's getting tough to find the right record at the right moment. So this mix was a bit unpredictable for me, which is why there are a few hairy moments and also some trax I don't play so often. Also featured here amongst other things, is the new record from Little Nobody Featuring Robo*Brazilera (I insist that you go to a shop and buy it now, before quality techno gets swallowed up because no-one is buying it!),

Si Begg has had a good few records behind him. I've always considered him more hit and miss than Mark does, but that's only because we're two different people with tastes that don't sync 100%. Regardless, even this mix is worth grabbing. I've got the sucker downloading right now. I think today my daughter is going to get a schooling in Noodles.
Recorded live at E-lectribe, in Kassel, Germany. One of my best gigs in ages, great organisation, great location, great soundsystem, great music and great people! Went and hung out at the Local House/Techno radio station "Minimal City Radio Kassel", whilst Louis Osbourne rocked it out on the decks playing tracky house classics. Did a small interview in German with Michael, the radio host, which was a lot of fun and drank a few beers & some sickly kind of cherry schnapps with some of the other people hanging out there. It was the perfect pre-club hang out!
This week on SFS we have a guest live set Bulgarian expat MANASYt, who is now residing in London.

The real SFG # 17 is here. Mark has concocted his own version of the Acid Mix for us in this one. You'll notice straight away it's a no holds barred banger.
