I bought something to remedy that problem. I’ll now be able to record everything, assuming a line-out is to be had.

It took precedence and won out over a new soundcard. I’ve had my eye on one of these for ages. Let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Just in time for the new monthly starting up in Toronto!

I will most certainly create new Bleeps to download and let you all know about them. I will also be streaming live from time to time via Mixlr.com. It’s easy for me to just pick up and go, which as a busy dad is a bonus. I don’t often have an hour to record a set, but I do often have periods I can jam for a spell before my daughter asks me to do something else.

Hit up Mixlr. I never know when I’ll be streaming. I usually give a 5 minute heads-up post on Facebook letting people know. But if recent days are any indication, I get to do it frequently. In the last 2 days I’ve gotten in two sessions; one at 35 minutes and another at 70 minutes. Mixlr archives them…

From the pinball machines at the front door, to the board games at the tables, to the Butter Chicken wings, it’s a solid place. I won’t even bother mentioning its size and sound. Both are beyond adequate.

Location: 3030 Dundas West, Toronto ON (High Park area)
Audio: Techno, House, Electro, Etc… (Focusing on what is good and not what is currently top-o-the-pops)

Mr. and Mrs. Anything is being run by a couple who enjoy music. They have brought a few other people into the fold to lend assistance. All involved are of the same mind and do not wish to submit anyone in attendance to what they can hear anywhere and everywhere else on any given night.

If you’re in or around Toronto, come out on the 16th of June. We’ll sip Ginger Ale together before I play tunes for all.

Well I can attach a date now. My house is sold and my offer on a new one has been accepted. May 4th is moving day for me. A week or two after that date and my gear should be running, a modest selection of records should have been retrieved from my mother-in-laws, and I should have an internet provider for uploading with.

The idea of being able to play at home and record again after all this down time is very exciting!
